| Review | Ordered the tea twice. First time the leaves produced sharp flavor and the strongest caffeine effect ever experienced, which I enjoyed, so re-ordered. Second shipment, brewed at a much lower temperature (55-60C) and longer steeping time (3 mins) yielded a typical gyokuro very sweet and mellow flavor with a hint of a typical Uji edge. We recommend it. Advise - allow for lower brewing temperature and longer steeping time to bring the full potential of this leaf. |
