| Review | I just received my order today: it included House Matcha and Matcha Superior (which I have not opened yet). So I made my first cup of House Matcha a few minutes before writing this review and loved it! I had tried a matcha for everyday drinking from another Japanese tea distributor. I prefer Hibiki-An's House Matcha by far. It has a lovely smooth, slightly sweet flavor that finishes a little vegetal and grassy. The grassy taste at the end has a hint of bitterness --but not a bad bitterness at all! It lends a balance to the taste. It is not like the bitterness of an over-brewed cup of tea. More like a fresh, subtle, bitterness that cleanses your palate. I am grateful that Hibiki-An shares Japan's tea traditions with us in such careful detail. This is now my everyday Matcha. |
