I was introduced to houjicha tea when I lived in Japan. As a restaurant owner told me, "It is good for older people and children" due to the low caffeine. I love the nutty flavor, the distinct aroma and of course, the low caffeine! I use Hibiki-an houjicha tea bags to make a hot hojicha latte, and sometimes make a brown sugar houjicha latte. I also use it to make iced tea or overnight ice tea. So refreshing on a hot summer day. |
